"How time has flown! It seems as if those Senior Company Saturdays were just yesterday.
We would like to thank you for all the time and energy you have devoted to us over the years.
You have given us so many opportunities that have molded us into the dancers we are today. We are truly grateful.
We will miss you next year. Many Thanks & much love."

"What an amazing job you did, pulling together the dance recital. It was incredible! The staging, the costumes and of course the dancing were all wonderful. I realize that it is quite an undertaking to accomplish what you have this year and I just wanted to say congratulations! I feel so lucky that my girls will have the opportunity to be a part of something so special."

"My Lindsay has found herself…built her confidence, her self esteem and realized incredible accomplishments since joining dance.
Everywhere I go, people comment on how much she’s changed. The physical change is obvious. The slimmed down, toned, cool movin’ body. But the poise, grace and air of confidence is also what they’re noticing. A million thanks!
And now I am giving to you 7 year old Sarah, who wants to be “just like her big sister” She’s in good hands. "

"I have always valued our relationship over the years. The amount of support and encouragement you’ve given me is matched only by my own parents. This is something I could ask of nobody yet always expect it from you. I am a firm believer that without the support of those around you it is nearly impossible to succeed and that’s why I am lucky to have you on my side. I hope you will come see me dance with The Sanfransisco Ballet one day soon."

"I would like to thank you for welcoming me into the family with open arms. I have never worked for anyone as nice and caring as you. You are an inspiration to me and I hope I can do what you do. Even if it’s only half as good as you I know I will be in a good place. I also wanted to tell you what an amazing group of students you have. They are all beautiful people and only a slight reflection of who you are. Thank you so much for everything from the bottom of my heart. I love you,"

"How can I begin to thank you for the wonderful artistic expression and experience that you and your staff have provided for my daughter Chloe at Armonk Center for Dance?
After many years as a professional dancer and teacher, you could say that I “know the ropes” of what the world of dance education and performance can be like. One of my main concerns as an artist and teacher was to prevent the infiltration of “attitude” and hostile competition and to foster instead true individual expression, warmth and passion for the beauty of dance itself- something that everyone can experience at varying levels.
What I have found in you, Alice, Cyndi, Marissa and all of your staff is a true warmth and caring for the art of dance and for the students learning this art. Attention to technique without dryness; interesting, challenging yet do-able (and beautiful!) choreography; Courtesy, encouragement and interest in the students themselves and their expression through dance; form and structure fueled by feeling and expression and development of individual talents and capabilities while at the same time building an organic wholeness and interaction within the group; serious dedication wisely mixed with a good sense of humor and lightness…..all of these qualities I find to be alive and well within your school.
While these are merely words on paper, what makes them come to life is seeing the happiness glowing in my daughters’ body. The confidence, poise and the general aura of enthusiasm that I witness each week after class and at recitals as well from all of your dance students.
Dance, I believe can live as a deeply inspiring artistic expression for some, but also as a place of health, creativity and community for many. Love in its highest sense should be synonymous with art. I feel this to be one of your deep underlying motivations that shines through at Armonk Center for Dance. Thank you."

Dance Makes Me Feel Like…..
By Cara, 2nd grade
Dance makes me feel like the top of the sun.
Like no one has ever been there and I’m the only one.
Dance makes me feel like hot sweaty sweat.
And I think I’m the only one who doesn’t get upset.
The show is great and so are you.
Dance makes me feel like I love you.
Dance makes me feel like a star in the sky
And I’m as light as a fly.
What a day, what a night
Dance sends me as high as a kite.
When I dance I feel so great.
So let’s go…I can’t wait! |
